People, Why?!

Click on the image to view Full-Size

Sometimes when a magazine or newspaper wants to feature an item of ours in a shopping section, they will call us and verify the prices and whether or not we have a healthy-enough stock for them to publish this item and refer people to us to get the item.

Lucky Magazine puts each item through a battery of questions like it's going on a job-interview to be in Lucky Magazine. Measurements, materials, who made it, etc. They ask if we will have it in stock in say, 3 months when the issue comes out.

People Magazine does not do this. We started getting calls on Thursday- Some of the things on this page have been sold out for weeks and/or we only had a few to begin with. They did not verify prices, as they listed an item for the wrong price. They did not warn us that they were printing this so that we could pre-emptively order more.

We've gotten tons of lovely phone calls. We also really appreciate that they did not list our website anywhere but they put our phone number everywhere.

AND the item on the page that we are most proud of is the Mykita gold Sunglasses that SJP is wearing. They are AMAZING! They didn't credit us for selling these, and that's something we've got in stock and we would love to talk about on the phone.

BUSTED!

There once was a little child named Jonathan Serrano, who worked at the Pat Field boutique for about 2 days. Maybe that. He worked here for several hours at most. His resume paints a very different picture and one of our make-up artists tells you how he BUSTED this kid who stole photos from Patricia Field.com, tried to pass them off as his own... BUSTED!

First- Check out his RESUME- Who celebrity name-drops on their resume like this? Who lies like this? None of these celebrities were at the store the 2 days this kid worked as we prev. mentioned and he would have never been responsible for any of this anyway - Especially not in 2 days. It's hilarious that he brought Johnny Depp into this. Crazy!

Everything he says that he did at Patricia Field, including the time-span of his "career" here is an absolute lie.

We'll let the person whose make-up photos were heisted and put into this little liar's portfolio.
We should also add that we still have this kid's resume on file and it did not mention any formal make-up training or aspirations.

Variety Mention

Here's a nice mention in a Variety online article. The other movies discussed in the article show that we're in good company! We love what Cojocaru said about Carrie's/Pat's stylings...

Sex and the City, 1998-2004
Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik co-starred in this series about four friends looking for love in Manhattan. Sarah Jessica Parker was the unconventional beauty starring, and costume designer Patricia Field dressed her Carrie in thrift-store couture and $500 Madison Avenue heels that have since created the standard -- mixing high-end pieces with low-end ones.

"Carrie was a quirky fashionista," Cojocaru says. "It was about individual dressing. She created a sensation with every bag, shoe and necklace. Carrie would wear a jean jacket with a prom dress. She would wear high heels with old jeans. Now it's a uniform. She made it cool to be an individual. That's why she stood out."
