Sometimes when a magazine or newspaper wants to feature an item of ours in a shopping section, they will call us and verify the prices and whether or not we have a healthy-enough stock for them to publish this item and refer people to us to get the item.
Lucky Magazine puts each item through a battery of questions like it's going on a job-interview to be in Lucky Magazine. Measurements, materials, who made it, etc. They ask if we will have it in stock in say, 3 months when the issue comes out.
People Magazine does not do this. We started getting calls on Thursday- Some of the things on this page have been sold out for weeks and/or we only had a few to begin with. They did not verify prices, as they listed an item for the wrong price. They did not warn us that they were printing this so that we could pre-emptively order more.
We've gotten tons of lovely phone calls. We also really appreciate that they did not list our website anywhere but they put our phone number everywhere.
AND the item on the page that we are most proud of is the Mykita gold Sunglasses that SJP is wearing. They are AMAZING! They didn't credit us for selling these, and that's something we've got in stock and we would love to talk about on the phone.
